Good Afternoon Ernie
I am in semi-retirement after
spending 35 years in sales for various
companies and enjoyed the freedom of
being my own boss while I handled my
sales territory.
I am concerned about the greed in this
world which I believe has led to the
economic condition we are in today.
For a while 5 years ago I sold in the
mortgage business and could see that it was
leading to a downfall for many consumers.
My house is paid for and we have a little
retirement cottage industry in our home
doing self inking stamps and engraved
plaques so my wife and I seem to be doing
ok. We have a good savings nest.
What I want to question is your comments on
page 100 about critical people and how they
have little to look forward to in getting
to their dreams, and I couldn't agree more
except for the fact that this has become a
media industry with the likes of Rush
Limbaugh, Glen Beck and others who know no
bounds in criticizing anything that does
not match their philosophies.
I believe the US is becoming too divided in
their thoughts about who and how we should
get things done. Constructive criticism is
good but I am not sure that is what we are
doing today.
Anyway a lot of people are
making a lot of money by being
critical. I hope that stops. Thanks for
your time and keep writing. I plan on doing
some writing now that I am retired. Have a
great day.
